Dr. Mendel I. Markowitz, DDS, FACS
Born in Larochelle, France, Dr. Markowitz attended Yeshiva University in New York and attended Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery. After earning his DDS degree, Dr. Markowitz completed a General Practice Residency at the East Orange V. A. Hospital in New Jersey, a full year anesthesia residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, and a four year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Woodhull Hospital in Brooklyn, New York.
In addition to his extensive training and education, Dr. Markowitz attained his board certification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1996 and was recertified in 2004. He has also been the facial trauma consultant for the local NHL hockey team for 18 years.

Services
Our doctors have been trained to deliver emergency care for facial trauma involving bones, teeth, and the soft tissues of the face and mouth. However, the first goal of treatment is to stop bleeding, maintain an open airway, repair any fractures, and/or suture damaged soft tissues.
